Men arrested in Slidell stabbing death

SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - St. Tammany sheriff's detectives say they have solved the weekend murder of a 20-year-old man north of Slidell.

Investigators said Nicolas Carmen was killed off Ben Thomas Road after an argument that turned violent. Detectives found his body after getting a tip from the aunt of one of the alleged assailants.

"She could tell something was wrong by his conduct," said St. Tammany Sheriff Jack Strain. "Probably still had blood on him."

Police arrested 27-year-old Clayton Maricle and 41-year-old Marty Anderson at a camp in Pearl River County. Authorities say the suspects and the victim may have been in the remote area to buy drugs.
