After a stretch of mild and muggy weather to start December, a cold snap might be appreciated by some.
We have had six days of above normal temperatures and we will be working on number seven today, but a cold front is in the forecast.
First, we must get through Friday which is once again starting out mild and muggy with a dense fog advisory in effect until 9:00 a.m. Plan for extra commute time on your way out the door today. As the morning moves on and the fog lifts, expect another warm and muggy afternoon -- but if you are looking for the holiday feel it is close at hand.
Late Saturday a cold front arrives, so although we can expect one more foggy morning to start the weekend, relief arrives later in the day.
A shower or two is not out of the question, but most importantly some dry air will move in to clear things out. It's a Pacific air mass behind the front so while the air will be more comfortable, we will see temperatures near the long term averages in the mid to upper 60s for highs and upper 40s for lows.
