After a chilly November, December is off to a very warm start. The deep East Coast trough that brought the cold air last month has re-positioned itself along the West Coast.
That finally brings rain to California, but it also cuts off the cold air diving down into the South. We'll stay very mild for the rest of this week, which means we'll have to deal with daily fog issues.
Allow extra drive time on your way into work. The fog should lift by 9-10 a.m.with the rest of the day being sunny and warm.
Our next cold front won't arrive until late Sunday - at the soonest.
