Police release videos, sketch of suspect in hit-and-run that killed toddler

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Police have released videos and composite sketch of the suspect in a deadly St. Claude hit-and-run that left a 2-year-old boy dead.

The hit-and-run happened around 5:15 p.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of Claiborne Avenue.

Christian Glover, 2, was struck by a pickup truck after running into the street, police say. The driver allegedly stopped and got out of the truck, looking at the child. He then got back into the vehicle and drove off, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The boy was brought to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect vehicle has been described as a white, older model Chevrolet Silverado. Surveillance video captures an image of the truck. The man driving the vehicle is described as an African-American man with a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark blue shirt and dark pants.
