HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - A domestic situation in Houma leads to the discovery of over $11,000 in illegal narcotics.
Houma Police were called to the 100 block of Myrna Street around 7:15 a.m. Friday.
Upon arrival, a woman told police that she was involved in a physical altercation with her husband. The victim received minor injuries.
Officers say that Frank Smith, 35, threatened the victim and left a large garbage bag at the residence.
In the bag, officers found 3.38 pounds of marijuana, 40 packs of synthetic marijuana, a digital scale and a 9 mm handgun. Officers state that the estimated street value of the suspected marijuana is $9,201 and the synthetic marijuana is $2,000.
Smith is still at large. He is wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm, domestic abuse battery, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm in the presence of illegal narcotics.
