Two Cut Off women face multiple drug charges after they were spotted driving recklessly in the Galliano area, according to Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre.
A chase began just before 7 p.m. along LA 3235 after officers tried to stop them and they refused.
While officers pursued them, Tammy Plaisance, 52, and Chrisy Rousse, 36, allegedly tossed bags of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and suboxone from their car window. Once they were stopped, a search of their car yielded crack cocaine, over $2,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia, the sheriff said.
Both women were jailed at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux and booked with possession with Intent to distribute crack Cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and suboxone, as well as felony obstruction of justice. Rousse was additionally charged with reckless operation, resisting an officer and a traffic violation. She is being held in lieu of $37,300, while Plaisance is being held on a $36,600 bond.
