NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Saturday was a throw back to late summer, so today is a big switch with much cooler air in behind the front and the overcast making the chilly air feel even cooler.
It really wasn't a bad day if you were dressed appropriately. Definitely wear long sleeves and jackets for Sunday night as you head out.
The increased cloud cover sticks around as an upper trough is once again pushing across the region. Most of the surface moisture moved out with Saturday's front so no rain should develop with the system, but expect the cloud cover to hang around through Monday morning.
The deepening upper trough opens the pathway for cold air to make its way south. Temperatures on the north shore will dip near freezing once again in a lot of locations by the middle of the week.
