Suspect opens fire on vehicle on Interstate 10

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A suspect opened fire on a vehicle traveling eastbound on I-10, police say.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. Monday on eastbound I-10 near Morrison Road.

New Orleans police state that two men were inside of a vehicle driving eastbound when an unknown vehicle approached behind them. The suspect(s) in the vehicle allegedly started firing shots at the victims.

The victims exited the interstate and the suspect vehicle followed, firing more shots at the victims.

Officers say that one of the victims was shot during the incident. His condition is unknown at this time.

    According to the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, to rent a modest two-bedroom apartment in New Orleans you have to make almost $20 an hour.
