NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A New Orleans judge refused to lower the bond of the only man arrested in a deadly Bourbon Street shooting.
That decision came Monday after a number of witnesses came forward, and said Le fired shots at another shooter in self-defense.
Le's attorney was disappointed.
"I think he's paying the price for two things, the failure of the NOPD not to arrest anyone and the failure of the DA not present witnesses who would have cleared my client before the grand jury," attorney Martin Regan said.
During the violence, Brittany Thomas, 21, was killed and nine others were injured.
Le's bond stands at $250,000 and he remains in jail. He is set to stand trial on Jan. 7.
