HARVEY, LA (WVUE) -

Jefferson Parish Sheriff's investigators have made an arrest in the Sunday night shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Harvey.

Early Tuesday morning, U.S. marshals learned that 18-year-old Terrance Hudson was staying with his grandfather in Marrero. Officers responded to the 2900 block of Skidmore Drive and arrested Hudson without incident. He was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on one count of second-degree murder.

Hudson is accused in the death of 16-year-old Maurcell Mitchell. Mitchell was shot in the back of the head with a 12-gauge shotgun on Angus Drive, where he was riding bikes with his cousin.

Witnesses told police that Hudson was seen with three other people at the time of the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
