Filming to affect streets in 2 neighborhoods this week

The city has issued filming notices in two neighborhoods for Wednesday, Dec. 10 through Sunday, Dec. 14.

In Central City from Wednesday through Saturday, a production company will film exterior scenes at the Loyola Street exit and Earhart Boulevard. between Magnolia Street and Simon Bolivar Avenue. The sequence being filmed involves special effects that include simulated explosions. The specified streets will close from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. nightly.

On Sunday in New Orleans East, a production company will film exterior scenes on Almonaster Boulevard between Jourdan and Elaine roads. All eastbound traffic on Almonaster will be detoured to one lane on the westbound side of the street from 6 p.m. until 4 a.m.

The New Orleans Fire Department and police will be on site to help facilitate the work.

Film New Orleans within the Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy assists productions with the City's permitting process, connects productions with local crew and resources, and facilitates communication between productions and the local community.
