Tulane students robbed at gunpoint Uptown

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Police are investigating the mugging of a Tulane student in Uptown Friday night.

According to a release from the Tulane Police Department two students were walking near the corner of Willow and Lowerline streets around 11:45 p.m./ when two unknown black males armed with handguns approached them and demanded their property. Police say the victims complied, then the suspects entered a vehicle and drove away.

The suspects are described as black males between the ages of 14 and 17 with dark skin and slim builds wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts. The vehicle they fled in has four doors and is dark in color.
