NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

An internal audit by a state agency backs up the findings of a Lee Zurik investigation more than one year ago.

The Louisiana Community Development Authority's Audit shows its former executive director, Steve Dicharry, used agency money for personal expenses.

Since the investigation in 2013, Dicharry was investigated by the State Inspector General and charged and arrested for theft.

The audit shows Dicharry spent agency money on personal charges for automobiles, meals, travel and gifts.

The state case against Dicharry is being handled by the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's Officer.
