Our seven months of below-normal rainfall may finally come to an end as a Gulf low will develop along the upper Texas coast and come our way for Friday.
Computer models are predicting several inches of widespread rainfall. We haven't seen those kinds of totals in nearly three months.
The rain will come in waves of heavy downpours with some dry periods in between. As the low pulls away on Saturday morning, the showers will end, and cooler and drier air filters in with some afternoon sunshine.
Sunday starts dry but clouds will increase during the day with more rain possible before dark.
