Man named 'Pee Wee' chokes, robs victim near Convention Center

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police say that a man known as “Pee Wee” choked a 42-year-old man and robbed him at knife-point.

The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Calliope Street and Tchoupitoulas Street.

New Orleans police say that the victim, 42, was approached by a black male identified only as “Pee Wee.” The suspect placed the victim in a choke-hold, brandished a knife and fled with the victim's cash, police say.
