Words and Music



The annual Words and Music Festival sponsored by the Pirate's Alley Faulkner Society, Inc., which was founded in 1990 by men and women dedicated to good books and the literary arts. This unique writers' festival/conference is held every fall, giving writers a chance to showcase their latest works. In a city that has inspired countless authors, including William Faulkner, O. Henry, Tennessee Williams, Ernest Hemingway, John Kennedy Toole and countless others, the Faulkner Society is justly proud of its record of assisting authors make their dreams come true.
