Man hit, killed by freight train in Hammond

HAMMOND, LA (WVUE) -

A pedestrian hit and killed by freight train Tuesday in Hammond, according to police.

The accident happened just after 4 p.m. at E. Coleman Avenue and Southwest Railroad Avenue downtown.

The victim, whose name was not released, was described only as a 58-year-old man.
