Police make arrest in Terrebonne car burglaries

Police arrested a man suspected of committing two vehicle burglaries in Terrebonne Parish Friday.

According to Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Jerry Larpenter, two citizens reported that their cars were burglarized in the area of Louisiana Avenue on the morning of Jan. 2. Video surveillance from the area showed a black male with a beard committing the crimes.

That night, police say an officer working an off-duty detail at Colonel's Truck Plaza located the suspect and identified him from the surveillance images as 23-year-old Jarell Combre from Lutcher. Combre was arrested that night on two counts of simple burglary and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
