JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - A St. Charles Parish teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student could find out if she will face charges in another parish.

Prosecutors say that Shelley Dufresne, 32, could learn Tuesday if she will face additional charges in Jefferson Parish. Dufresne is one of two Destrehan High School teachers accused of having group sex with a 16-year-old student.

She faces a charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in St. Charles Parish for allegedly having sex with the teen at her Montz home last year.

Kenner Police booked Dufresne on the same charge for an alleged encounter in Jefferson Parish.

Rachel Repress, 24, another Destrehan High teacher, allegedly joined Dufresne and the teen for sex at Repress' apartment in Kenner. The alleged incident happened on September 12. Both were booked in Jefferson Parish.

Dufresne awaits word on the Jefferson Parish charges. She is due back in court on Tuesday.
