Early in 1909, a group of laborers who had organized a club named "The Tramps" went to the Pythian Theater to see a musical comedy performed by the Smart Set. The comedy included a skit entitled, "There Never Was and Never Will Be a King Like Me," about the Zulu Tribe.
The parade begins at S. Claiborne and Jackson Ave.
The parade will continue down Jackson and then take a left turn onto St. Charles.
They will follow St. Charles around Lee Circle and continue onto Canal St.
At Canal St. the krewe takes a left turn until Basin Street.
At Basin they will take a right turn until Orleans Ave.
The parade follows Orleans Ave until it concludes at Broad Street.
