The Mystick Krewe of Perseus of Slidell is the city's oldest Carnival organization, founded in 1970, and is named for the Greek god who slew Medusa.Perseus hosts a ball and a thirteen-float parade, with nine double-decker floats. Each float rider constructs his or her own costume. The Krewe is made up of 170 members, whose throws include their famous hand-decorated plastic crabs, crab beads, slap bracelets, and cups.
The parade will begin at Berkley St. and Spartan Dr.
The parade will follow Spartan Dr. north taking a left Highway 11.
The parade will proceed on Highway 11 then take a right onto Highway 190.
The parade will continue through town and end at the intersection on 190 and Kensington Blvd.
