NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in locating and identifying two men wanted for a Thursday morning (Jan. 15) kidnapping.
The incident took place at about 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bergerac Street and Dwyer Boulevard.
Police said a 17-year-old female was waiting at a bus stop when a four-door car approached. The passenger got out armed with a handgun and forced the victim into the front seat. As the driver of the car drove off, the suspect forced the victim into the back seat, climbed over the seat and began unbuckling his pants. At the same time, the victim opened the door and managed to escape by jumping out of the moving car.
The victim was treated for abrasions to her wrists and ankle.
The vehicle was described as a tan or light-colored sedan with a black stripe above the rear bumper.
The passenger was described as a black male with a black bandana covering his face. He was wearing a black hoodie with a design on the front. The driver was described as a black male with a medium complexion and a fade hair style.
