Police release composite sketches of NOE sex assault suspects

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating men wanted in connection with a sexual assault that occurred Thursday (Jan. 15).

At about 3 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was getting out of her car in the 4900 block of Demontluzin Street, a when man armed with a gun approached and forced the victim into the passenger side of her vehicle. The suspect got in the driver's seat and drove around the block, where he picked up two other men. The suspects drove to the 11000 block of Old Gentilly Road, where they sexually assaulted the victim and then let her go.

The suspects fled in the victim's car, described as a red, four-door 2005 Chevrolet Malibu with a Florida license plate. Police composite sketches of suspects #1 and #2 can be seen at right. Police have not yet released a sketch of suspect #3. 

Suspect #1 was described as a black male in his mid- to late 20s, approximately 5'10” tall and 180 to 190 pounds with a medium build and a brown complexion. He was last seen wearing a knit cap with ear flaps and was armed with a silver-barreled revolver.

Suspect #2 was described as a black male in his mid- to late 20s, approximately 5'8” tall with a medium build and a light brown complexion.

Suspect #3 was described as a black male in his mid- to late 20s with a brown complexion.
