Suspect sought for Subway armed robbery

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Police are asking for your help in solving an armed robbery at a Subway Restaurant Sunday night.  The holdup happened  around 6:30 p.m. at the at the Subway located at 2700 South Claiborne Avenue.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, a man, armed with a gun, walked into the store and demanded money from the cashier.   The cashier complied, and the robber ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 50 to 60 years old with a stocking cap on his head. He was wearing a black jacket with a gray hooded jacket underneath, black jeans and black and white tennis shoes.
