Thibodaux teen accused of attempted second-degree murder

THOBODAUX, LA (WVUE) - A 17-year-old Thibodaux man arrested Monday for attempted second-degree murder.

Chief of Police Scott Silverii said Joshua Harris, of Ridgefield Avenue, walked up to a group of teenage juveniles Sunday at about 6:15 in the 200 block of Sanders Street and opened fire, striking one of them in the torso.

The victim was hospitalized. His condition is not known.

Police quickly issued an warrant for Harris, and he turned himself in at the Thibodaux Police Department the following day.

Harris is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
