METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

A man was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday in Metairie on the same street and within 11 days of another armed robbery.

The victim – an electrician working at a home on Wanda Lynn Drive near Marion Street – was held up at about 1:30 p.m. by a gunman he described as “a kid.” The victim turned over property and the gunman fled.

On Jan. 10, a couple was held up in the driveway of their home on Wanda Lynn Drive less than a mile from where Wednesday's robbery occurred.

In that incident, the couple was coming home from dinner just after 7:30 p.m. when they were accosted by a man in a ski mask who demanded their property and fled with a wallet and some cash after the female victim pushed him.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
