NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A 46-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in eight separate armed robbers at area Subway locations.
Reginald Wilson, 46, was arrested on Wednesday in Franklin, Louisiana. He was extradited to New Orleans where he was booked.
Officers say that the robberies began on December 29 and continued through January. The location in the 1600 block of Franklin Avenue was robbed twice; the location in the 2700 block of South Claiborne Avenue was robbed twice; a location in the 1100 block of North Broad was robbed twice; a location in the 400 block of South Claiborne was robbed once; and a location in the 400 block of City Park was robbed once.
In all eight robberies, officers say Wilson was armed, or implied that he had a gun, and demanded cash. After the cashiers complied, the suspect fled on foot.
Police say they were able to identify Wilson as the suspect through the course of the investigation.
As of Thursday morning, Wilson is charged with only four counts of armed robberies. Police say the investigation is ongoing and detectives are attempting to determine if Wilson is responsible for additional crimes.
