Man captured on video in Lake Lawn theft

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a cemetery equipment theft.

The incident occurred Thursday at 12:51 at Lake Lawn Cemetery in the 5400 block of Pontchartrain Boulevard.

Police said a man pried open an interior storage closet and stole two floor buffers valued at more than $2,500. Detectives believe he may have had keys to the exterior doors because there were no signs of forced entry.
