Davis leaves, returns to game vs Denver

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -  The Pelicans win streak was snapped at four game by the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night, but the bigger scare came in the third quarter when Anthony Davis took an awkward fall and had to be helped off the court. He would return in the fourth.

"Looks like he just has a groin injury right now," said head Coach Monty Williams. "They'll MRI it tomorrow morning to find out for sure. The doctors wouldn't allow him to come back in the game if they didn't think it was safe, but I think he probably pushed the issue a little bit to get back on the floor because that's who he is."

Davis finished his night with 24 points and 12 rebounds. The Pelicans will host the L.A. Clippers Friday night.
