Two arrested for burglarizing 20 vehicles in Slidell

SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's detectives have arrested two Slidell-area teens who allegedly burglarized more than 20 vehicles over the past week.

Justin Warren, 18 of Slidell, was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail, and a 14-year-old was booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center, both on simple burglary charges.

According to police, the two confessed to burglarizing more than 20 vehicles in the Thompson Road area of Slidell. Guns, electronics and other items were stolen from the interior of unlocked vehicles.

The Sheriff's Office says some of the stolen property has been recovered, and additional charges are expected.
