Gunman waits in back seat of car for driver

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police need help finding a man they say broke into a car and sat in the back seat waiting for the owner.

It happened Wednesday after 10 a.m. in the Premium Parking Lot at the intersection of Loyola Avenue and Perdido Street.

The victim told police that he went to get in his car and the gunman was in the back seat. He ordered the victim to the ground and took his wallet and his keys. Police say a woman saw what was happening and tried to help. That's when police say the gunman pointed the gun at her and demanded all of her money.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, 5'8' tall and 150 pounds with a brown complexion and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded shirt, red shirt and dark pants.

The vehicle is described as a white 2015 Dodge Journey with Florida license plate BPEL28.
