NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Saints' quarterback Drew Brees paired up with Pro-Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to set a Guinness World Record for the most one-handed catches in one minute.

The pair completed 33 one-handed catches on Thursday in Scottsdale, Arizona. Odell needed to catch at least 10 balls one-handed from a minimum distance of 10 yards. The pair shattered the previous record.

Thursday's record attempt builds off of a Visa Checkout commercial that aired early in the 2014 NFL season. The commercial featured Brees, and other NFL quarterbacks, throwing to Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald caught the balls one-handed while 'banking' with his other hand on a phone.

Both Brees and Beckham were presented plaques from a Guinness official.
