MARRERO, LA (WVUE) -

An admitted drug addict and his alleged accomplice have been arrested for a series of vehicle burglaries in Marrero, including thefts from two marked JPSO units, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

Charles Wills, 22, of Marrero, and 37-year-old Eldon Juneau, of Gretna, face charges related to burglaries at 16 addresses. All of them occurred in December.

Wills allegedly told detectives that he stole to support his heroin habit. All of the thefts were from unlocked cars, except for the JPSO units, which were broken into. All of the property taken from those units has been recovered, the Sheriff's Office said.

The burglaries occurred in the 2500 and 2600 blocks of Carrie Lane, the 2500 block of Highland Meadows, the 2500 block of Dolores, the 2600 block of Kirkwood, the 2500 block of Joy Ann, the 2600 block of Jeanne, the 4100 block of Sierra, the 3900 block of Lolan and the 2500 block of Buccaneer.

Detectives say the men may be linked to other crimes, and the investigation is ongoing.
