Police search for suspect in Terrytown bar robbery

TERRYTOWN, LA (WVUE) - A Terrytown man is on the run after police say he robbed a bar at gunpoint.

According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, 29-year-old Joey Copous robbed the Daiquiri Place on Terry Parkway at gunpoint Jan. 31 around 4 p.m. Authorities say Copous was caught by video surveillance systems in the area fleeing the scene.

Investigators executed a search warrant at  Copous' house on Farmington Place, but he could not be located there or at his family's home on Bradford Place. Police are now asking for the public's help to locate Copous.

Investigators say he could be traveling with one or two black males in a '98-'02 Jeep, possibly a Grand Cherokee, burgundy in color with silver along the bottom.
