NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A cold front has swept deep down into the Gulf, taking all the clouds and moisture with it.
As wind diminishes before daybreak, temperatures will fall below freezing on the north shore and into the 30s south of Lake P. Widespread frost is likely so protect your tender plants.
Friday should see a rapid warm-up with daylong sunshine and even warmer temps for Saturday and Sunday.
There could be some morning fog on Sunday, with our next cold front coming late Monday. The core of that cold should stay far to our north.
