ABITA SPRINGS, LA (WVUE) - Beer giant Budweiser took a shot at some of the nation's small brewers during the Super Bowl. Abita Brewing Co. was not going to take it lying down.
The King of Beers stole the Super Bowl pregame as a lost puppy reunited with its best friend, a member of the company's iconic Clydesdale horses. However, Budweiser had a different hard-hitting approach in their second Super Bowl spot.
The commercial called "Brewed the Hard Way" asserts that Budweiser is proud to be a macro-beer.
"It's brewed for drinking not dissecting. The people who drink our beer are people who like to drink beer brewed the hard way," the commercial states. "Let them sip their Pumpkin Peach Ale. We'll be brewing us some golden suds."

Abita Brewing Company, a brewery located in Abita Spring, Louisiana, swung back at the beer giant in a pumpkin-peach proud video.
"We're not a dog and pony show, we're Louisiana - proudly American-owned," the video states. "Yea, we made a pumpkin peach beer, and it was good. Damn good. We don't make one-size-fits-all beer. We make beer to sip, taste and enjoy. We're Abita and brewing is our craft."
