Motorcycle accident claims life of Slidell woman

CLINTON, La. (AP) - State police say a 61-year-old woman died after her motorcycle veered off the road in East Feliciana Parish.

Trooper Jared Sandifer said in a news release that Debra Justilian, of Slidell, was driving a 2013 Can-Am motorcycle west on Louisiana Highway 432 just east of Highway 67 around noon Sunday.

Sandifer says the motorcycle drove off the road in a curve and went down an embankment, throwing Justilian into a fence post.

Although she was wearing a helmet, Sandifer says Justilian died as a result of her injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
