HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - To avoid rolling under potentially wet and blustery forecast conditions, Houma parade krewes have rescheduled their parades.
The krewes of Terreanians, Houmas, Cleopatra and Kajuns will ride back-to-back beginning at 12:30 p.m. Sunday along the Houma parade route.
Cleopatra had been scheduled to roll Monday night. Houmas and Kajuns had been scheduled to roll Tuesday.
According to a release from the Krewe of Terreanians, the changes will not affect their roll time or the krewe's after party.
According to FOX 8 Meteorologist Bob Breck, "A weak front arrives on Sunday morning with slightly cooler air, but then waves of rain approach from the west likely making for some nasty parade weather on Monday and Tuesday. Arctic air arrives for Tuesday night bringing freezing temps to both sides of the lake on Wednesday morning."
