City changes Lundi Gras parade schedule, route

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The City of New Orleans changed the roll times for Monday's parade Krewes.

In a release from the mayors office, the city announced that the Krewes of Proteus and Orpheus will be moved up due to potential bad weather.

The Krewe of Proteus will begin at 4 p.m. instead of 5:15 p.m. and the Krewe of Orpheus will begin at 4:45 p.m. instead of 6 p.m.

In addition, there is a slight change to the route Proteus and Orpheus will take. The parades will start at their usual location, but when they reach the intersection of St. Charles and Canal Street they will turn right, then continue on the normal route.

The city said that no changes have been made to the Zulu and Rex schedule on Mardi Gras day, but they will put out the final word on them tomorrow.
