NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Louisiana State Troopers arrested six men during a drug bust on Saturday.
Officials say that investigators developed information that led them to a drug distribution house on St. Anthony Street. After obtaining a warrant, Louisiana State Troopers performed a search of the house where they found various narcotics that included cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, LSD and many others.
The men who were arrested are 38-year-old Michael Kinkennnon, 28-year-old Aaron Lang, 26-year-old Gordon Christenson Jr., 29-year-old Steven Miller, 28-year-old Robert Schappert and 35-year-old Patric Custis.
All of the men were booked into New Orleans Parish Prison and charged with four counts of Possession of a Schedule I Drug and two counts of Possession of a Schedule II Drug.
State Police Superintendent Colonel Mike Edmonson says work like this will continue while the State Troopers are in town for the Mardi Gras holiday.
"As Troopers deployed into the city, they were challenged to be proactive and make their presence known both to the good citizens of this community and the criminal element," said Edmonson. "I am proud of what this agency accomplishes every day. Citizens and tourists will continue to see LSP support for the NOPD and the City of New Orleans."
