NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - There are several reports of sleet early Mardi Gras morning on the North Shore as the last of the precipitation moved east.
Still some showers off the coast of TX heading toward SELA. Models indicate this will push east as the upper trough moves in the same direction, but wouldn't be surprised to see a few light showers on the parade route early on.
A cold day with highs in the mid 40s and breezy with maybe a bit more sun by the afternoon. As the upper trough moves east, clearing skies should arrive by tonight and sunny skies for Ash Wednesday.
A gradual warming trend into the weekend with highs in the 70s by Saturday. Rain also returns starting Friday.
