Gunman targets man in Marigny

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A 31 year old man was held up at gunpoint Monday afternoon while walking in the Marigny.   The NOPD is looking for two men, wanted for armed robbery in the 900 block of Marigny Street.

Police say the man was walking around 1:30 p.m. when he was approached from behind by two people, at least one of them was armed.  The victim says one of the suspects pointed a gun at him and demanded his belongings. The man complied, handing over his iPhone, cash and cigarettes.   Both suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The gunman is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20's, 5'9" tall, with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jogging pants with red and gold accents and lettering.  Police released a composite sketch in hopes of locating him.

Police have little information on the second suspect, only saying he is a black male, 5'6" tall.
