NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Eight chefs and four restaurants are vying to be named the among the best in the country.
The James Beard Foundation Award for Excellence recognizes outstanding chefs, restaurants and bars.
Below are the nominees from New Orleans for the 2015 Restaurant and Chef Award categories:

The foundation will announce the finalists on March 24, 2015.
The James Beard Awards ceremony will happen in Chicago on May 4, 2015.
