(WVUE) - Thursday will be the last cool day this week as warmer and more moist air moves in Friday and through the weekend.
Later Thursday with less afternoon wind, it should be a comfy cool late Winter day. As winds shift from the north back off the Gulf late Thursday night and Friday, moisture and clouds will surge northward along with warmer air.
As the track of the next low pressure will be much farther to our north, we'll be in the warm air sector all of Saturday and much of Sunday.
Rain chances appear highest late Friday as the warm front heads north and again late Sunday ahead of our next Arctic Blast.
At this time, we are not expecting any severe weather, however we could see some strong thunder storms Sunday afternoon/night and into early Monday. Monday will be 20-25 degrees colder with showers lingering.
The next Arctic chill doesn't look as strong as the current cool down.
