Saturday started out stormy in some spots with cloudy conditions sticking around through the afternoon, but it stayed mostly dry on land for the afternoon. We won't be so fortunate as we head into Sunday.
Sunday morning will be mild with lows in the 50's and 60's. Expect more clouds and showers to move in as a low pressure system pushes across the area. The low will not only move in rain, but much colder temperatures. Look for a major drop with high temperatures on Sunday in the low 70's, but falling into the 40's by late on Sunday night. There may be some light icing late Sunday evening into Monday morning near the Mississippi State line in northern Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes.
The wind and rain will stick around for most of the week with a stalled front stretching across the coast and several disturbances moving past. Those disturbances will make for a cloudy and dreary week ahead. It looks like showers will hang around at least until Thursday with just a brief break. Breezy conditions and rain would move back in just in time for next weekend. ?
