NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - An accident in the New Orleans area leads to an armed robbery. Officers say that the suspect stole the victim's property, took a photo of his license plate and advised the victim that if he called police, he would come back and kill him.
The incident happened on around 7:20 p.m. Sunday at South Broad and South White Street.
Police say that a 20-year-old victim was involved in an accident with the driver of a white Ford Expedition. After the accident, officers say the driver was not cooperative because he had warrants.
A short time later, police say the driver of a red Porsche Panamera drove up and talked to the driver of the Expedition.
The driver of the Porsche allegedly pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victim and robbed him of his shoes and money. Officers say the suspect then took a picture of the victim's license plate and advised him that if he called police, he would come back and kill him.
The drivers of the Porsche and Expedition fled the scene.
The suspect in the armed robbery has been described as a 25-years-old male with a dark complexion and slim build. Police say he is approximately 6-feet tall. He allegedly has a beard, long dreadlocks and a tattoo of a marijuana plant on his right hand between his thumb and index finger.
The suspect's vehicle has been described as a red 4-door Porsche Panamera with red rims and a bullet hole behind the passenger's side door. The vehicle is known to frequent second line parades, police say.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
