NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - "Meteorological" winter ends on Saturday, and Mother Nature is sure reminding us not to think of spring just yet.
Highs for the next four to five days will struggle to top 50 at a time of the year when average normal is 67 degrees. Worse yet, a Gulf low is expected to develop and bring a cold rain shield for Wednesday.
Rain totals could be 1 to 2 inches, making for a miserable day as temps stay in the 40s. A warming trend will arrive for the weekend but we'll need the heavier winter weather gear for the next several days.
