NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - LSU bounced back from a midweek loss to Nicholls State by sweeping Boston College and for his efforts in the four games, catcher Kade Scivicque has been named SEC Co-Player of the Week, alongside Buddy Reed of Florida.
In 11 at-bats, the senior had six hits, including two home runs and a double, resulting in four RBI and a 1.182 slugging percentage. Saturday's 16-2 demolition of BC was powered by Scivicque's first multi-homer game of his career.
The Maurepas, La. native is leading the team with a .500 batting average on the year. The Tigers host Southeastern Wednesday with first pitch set for 6:30 PM.
