NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The Coast Guard rescued three people after their disabled fishing boat was taking on water in Lake Pontchartrain.
The NOPD contacted the New Orleans Coast Guard and reported the vessel was disabled between the Highway 11 and the Twin Span bridges.
On Monday afternoon, Coast Guard Sector New Orleans launched a 45-foot Response Boat and an Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin aircrew. After arriving on scene, the boat crew brought two of the stranded passengers on board, while one remained aboard the fishing vessel.
