NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Six Pelicans scored in double figures as New Orleans erased an 18-point deficit to beat Toronto, 100-97 at the Smoothie King Center, without the services of injured players Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday.

Luke Babbitt scored 18 points, while Alexis Ajinca (16), Norris Cole (15), Omer Asik (14), Tyreke Evans (13) and Eric Gordon (11) all contributed to a balanced scoring effort.

"That was a tough win," Luke Babbitt said. "I don't think too many people expected us to win that one especially with all the guys hurt but guys stepped up, battled, Norris Cole in his second game on our team, he was huge."

With the win, the Pelicans improve to 29-27 this season. New Orleans will next host the Nets on Wednesday.

SEC Media Days kick off in Atlanta tomorrow, and the LSU Tigers will be one of the first schools to meet the press. LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron, linebacker Devin White, defensive lineman Rashard Lawrence, and tight end Foster Moreau are scheduled to speak. They should get a ton of questions on the quarterback battle.
